Harnessing Global Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment and Supplies

Welcome to my blog on manufacturing. I'm Carl Simpson. Ever since the financial crisis of 2008, I have been interested in finding ways to improve the economy. This has led me to major in economics when I enrolled as a college student in 2012 and it has also motivated me to start this blog. I believe that a strong manufacturing sector is the foundation of a healthy economy, so I've focused primarily on the global economics of manufacturing. I have devoted my time to finding ways in which manufacturing industries can remain competitive while simultaneously improving the living standards of their workers. I hope you will gain insight into how you can improve the competitiveness of your own business.

How To Make End Of The School Year Cleaning Efficient For Teachers

The end of the school year always sends students and teachers scrambling to finish things. Students are finishing their last exams and cleaning out their lockers, while teachers are finishing the last of their grading and sending out report cards. The last thing that usually happens before the school building shuts down for the summer are teachers and administrators cleaning out the classrooms. If you are organizing a classroom clean out day at your school here is how you can make cleaning day efficient for all of the teachers involved.

Order a few dump truck rentals

Most of what teachers will be doing is getting rid of unnecessary papers and classroom decorations. For this reason, you will need to get a grip on major trash removal. Order a dump truck rental that can hold several tons. Request that teachers bring out each load of trash as it is created to make sure you know if you will need to call the dumpster rental service for extra dumpsters for the day. Place these dumpster rentals in a central place for the school, so that the walk to dump trash is short and easy.

Ask for athlete volunteers

If you have sports teams at your school, consider asking the coaches to organize their team members to offer extra help for teachers. Some teachers will need a little help hauling things to their car or out to the dumpsters. Other administrators just may need a little bit of help cleaning and wiping down surfaces in the school. This can give student athlete community service hours, plus make cleaning easier on the teachers. Ask for student athlete volunteers then assign each one a teacher to help for half a day.

Place cleaning supplies in the hallway

In each hallway, place the cleaning supplies that the teachers will need, such as brooms, mops, sponges, and buckets. Ask that the teachers keep the cleaning supplies that are not being used at the moment outside in the hallway. This will allow all of the teachers in one hallway to share the supplies that they need to get the school properly cleaned, while costing the school less money. Instead of each classroom needing the full range of cleaning supplies, the budget can be slashed with teachers sharing supplies that can be used a number of times. Have the school cleaning team collect all of the supplies at the end of the day and store them in the janitorial closet for next year.
